Living in lands far away in time and space from war, I completely forget that serious troubles do affect much of our planet. You present a very different set of concerns, and very real ones, too.
I worry if my children play outside too late, or about how many students didn’t turn up to class, or if I can get my reports turned in on time. My worries seem miniscule in comparison to those who lived and died in the Holocaust, whose words could result in the death of their families, whose basic ideological and physical freedoms are severely restricted.
Thank you for realigning the perspective.
